ACHS Membership payment

As the extended deadline for becoming a paid member of ACHS is fast approaching, the Executive Committee thinks it would be productive if Chapter co-ordinators reached out to their members to encourage them to become a paid member. As a relatively young but growing organization, it is worth reminding your members of the benefits of remaining part of the ACHS network, which connects them to a network of thousands of scholars and practitioners from more than 80 countries. As a member, they will be able to:

  • Participate to the Association’s biennial conference (Call for Proposals for London 2020 should be circulating around March 2019!)
  • Vote in ACHS elections and partake in its General Assemblies;
  • Join chapters or networks based on their interests, and any smaller events that they may organize regionally;
  • Receive the Newsletter of the Association and the Newsletters of its chapters;
  • Be eligible to appear as a member on the Association’s directory of members and to network with more than 3000 other members;

Access to the full information of the Association’s directory of members, and professional opportunities that are circulated within this directory.

Members who have not paid their fees by the end of January will be taken out of the network effective immediately. We will, of course, continue to grow our membership through the years as and when people sign up under the new modality, but features such as Mailchimp will not be made available to chapter coordinators until we can reach a financial balance in relation to paid memberships. This may also affect recruitment for the London 2020 conference, which will in turn affect the presence of ACHS more regionally and globally.
